They commissioned my studio to update the house to the new millennium, not only for the exterior as well for the interior. I opened all the interior spaces to the beautiful views. OCEAN FRONT SUMMER HOME IN QUOGUE

As the interiors were originally designed in the 80’s with low ceilings, boxy rooms and dated finishes my idea was to open up the space. I accomplished this by raising the ceilings, adding large open airy windows to emphasize the spectacular views to the ocean and updating all of the finishes. She expressed to me the following " The star of the house is the surrounding water views and I want a very easy house where all the spaces can enjoy the magnificent water views" The result is an exterior that is traditional and an interior that is modern. All of the major spaces offer a sweeping view of Seatuck Cove with 10' high ceilings and large windows creating an effect of modernism.
